Halloween 2012

We had such a great time dressing up as a family last year, we decided to do it again this year. We decided that we needed something that all three of us could wear, was cost effective, and would keep us warm if it was cold while we went trick-or-treating. So with this criteria, we came up with the idea of being burglars. We wore black turtlenecks, stocking caps, painted our face with some black face paint, and wore fanny packs with money and jewelry spilling out of them. Hadley used a bank bag for her trick or treating bag. We got a ton of complements while we walked up and down Harrison Blvd, with a few people asking if they could take our picture. Hadley was a good sport and had fun running up to the houses and picking out a piece (or three) or candy.
Aunt Avery met up with us again this year!

After a long night of trick-or-treating, she needed a good drink.

We also got to have our Gates Halloween party at Papa Brad's house and this year we even attempted some "Minute to Win It" games. Hadley had fun and it ended up being a great party. Thanks again to all the Gates for abiding my obsession with Halloween..
My father-in-law's Hugh Hefner costume. I almost died when I saw this.

Pat and Sarah (Pat was an emo kid. Super funny.

Chris and Avery and a photobombing Brad.

Papa Brad and Grandma JuJu

The cup stacking part of the relay.

Getting four Oreos out of bag without using your hands.

Stacking five dice (die?) on the end of a tongue depressor.

This is so much harder than it looks...

Hadley's new favorite toy. $3.00 for a million of them.

Two tired kids!
